New for 2012 Welcome to the new Westcote Bell Pottery. We have relocated to Nova Scotia, in the county of Lunenburg. In addition to making and selling our pottery, we will be teaching classes and workshops in pottery, painting and printmaking. There is a small motel just down the shorelineclick here which will provide accommodation. We will update this page frequently as things progress in the renovation of the studio and as we find out more fun things to do in Nova Scotia. We intend to propose fun vacation packages of 7-14 days, during which we will have workshops of 3 and 5 days. Day trips to the tourist towns of Lunenburg, which is a World Heritage Site, Chester, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove and Halifax which is the capital of Nova Scotia. All are less than an hour away from the studio. We will also have bicycle tours as an option, since the area has relatively small rolling hills along the coast line. The Lighthouse Route is famous world wide for its scenery. Fishing trips can be arranged with local fishermen. For those who get sea sick, while you throw a pot on the wheel cast a line off the studio deck, right into the ocean, tie a bell on the line, when it jingles dinners arrived. click here to see the studio before renovation. Please feel free to email us with your questions. We are excited to embark on this part of our career and we would love to get your feed back. It is also quite scary to do this and we hope our customers from the last 25 years will take part in this adventure. We anticipate our first workshops will take place in January 2012. Halifax is the local international airport, 1hr 15mins away. To see more about our studio renovation click here |
